Unfortunately criminals have also discovered the Internet and every day brings more and more stories about online scams, identity theft, worms, viruses and hackers. Fortunately, there are law enforcement resources available for help. A good place to start is the Internet Crime Complaint Center which is a joint project between the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center. Launched in May 2000, the IC3 is a resource established for law enforcement by law enforcement. Its Web site provides a mechanism for consumers and businesses nationwide to report incidents of Internet crime.
