Consumer Fraud

Consumer Fraud – Consumer fraud is the general name given to a wide variety of consumer related offenses. In California prosecutors have the authority to file civil actions to protect consumers from Unfair Business Practices. California law defines unfair business practices as any unlawful, unfair or fraudulent business act or practice and any unfair, deceptive, untrue or misleading advertising.
