KCPA Endorses Maggard for Supervisor

Maggard earns endorsement for 3rd District Seat

The Kern County Prosecutors Association has endorsed City Councilman Mike Maggard for the Kern County Board of Supervisors third supervisorial seat.  Mike initially earned the Association's endorsement when he first ran for City Council in 1998.  Since then he has worked diligently to improve the quality of life in the City of Bakersfield and has proven to be a strong supporter of law enforcement and public safety.  In addition, instead of seeking to avoid difficult issues, he has actively taken leadership positions and worked to develop public consensus on issues such as public pensions, growth and air quality.

Mike has always "done his homework" on the issues and has consistently shown that he is willing to listen to the full spectrum of community opinions before making his decision.  At the same time, he has demonstrated that he has the political courage to stand against powerful economic interests, even at great cost to himself.

The KCPA is proud to endorse Mike Maggard for County Supervisor and encourages all Kern County citizens that are concerned about public safety to join with us in supporting his candidacy.
